The brand dates all the way back to 1918 when creator Nathan Swartz began an apprenticeship in the USA as an apprentice. Timberland Footwear products developed over time, and in 1978 the name Timberland was used for the first time on the new collection. Due to the increasing popularity of the Timberland branded boots the Swartz family then changed their business name to The Timberland Company.  For the modern and fashionable man Timberland combines ecological ethos with exciting footwear design.
