Founded in 2006 by American born traveller Blake Mycoskie, when he took a trip to Argentina and he witnessing the extreme poverty first hand he wanted to help. The traditional Argentine shoes, the alpargata, was a simple yet effective design, so he set about re designing this famous shoe to the TOMS we know today.

Creating the One for One Movement, which basically is a commitment to match every pair of TOMS purchased with a new pair given to a child in need, instils the message and desire to help others, which surrounds the brand as a whole. Their simple goal is’ to show how together we can create a better tomorrow by taking compassionate action today.

Incredibly, in 2010, TOMS were proud to announce that they were able to give their one millionth pair of new shoes to a child in need. Going from strength to strength, the brand now helps over 20 countries including the most in need countries, Improving a child’s health and access to education for the long term is a main goal for Blake, and everyone associate with the brand.
