The revitalisation of adidas’ 90s EQT range has produced some of the brand’s most popular silhouettes of recent times, particular the EQT Support ADV, which translates the utilitarian feel of the original series into a modern, street-ready shoe. Continuing in this vein, the Three Stripes present the latest addition to the range, the EQT Cushion ADV.
Inheriting the angular, futuristic styling of its older sibling from 1991, the EQT Cushion ADV features a comfortable and familiar stretch mesh upper, with the addition of suede and TPU tooling to the heel for both extra support and a touch of refinement. The sole unit also gets an update, with an extra-soft EVA midsole bolstered by a tough TPU sole cage and ridged rubber outsole for superior grip.
As usual with the EQT series, the shoe is finished with subtle webbing-tape 3 Stripes to the sides, as well as a branding to the lace-lock and tongue. Overall, the EQT Cushion ADV is a great addition to the range, representing an evolution and refinement of the EQT Support DNA that’s sure to find its way onto the feet of streetwear fans.
The adidas EQT Cushion ADV sneakers are available from the 7th of September from Aphrodite Clothing.
