adidas SL72 : Timeless Runners

Not only was the adidas SL72 the founding silhouette of the Super Light series and the first to bear the mark of the trefoil, but their development for the 1972 Munich Olympic games was oversaw by non-other than brand founder Adi Dassler himself. In short the trainers were set for greatness and now almost 50 years later they still remain very much centred toward the upper echelons of notable three stripe footwear.

Inspired by heritage track runners, the trainers are known for their modest detailing, sleek lines and streamlined shape, features which would see them quickly taken from their performance focused roots and applied to more fashion and lifestyle orientated circles. Constructed from a nylon base that was intended to keep things lightweight and breathable, the SL72 boasts suede overlays alongside three stripe branding to the sides.

adidas SL72 Navy / Red FV9783

Making reference to quintessential adidas design with a smart t-toe finish, this newest adaption comes presented in a contrasting mix of bold red hits against a deep navy base. Resulting in added visual depth whilst retaining its easily styled casual nature, you can find a lightweight EVA midsole and rubber outsole below for both comfort and traction.
