Like fellow countrymen Stone Island, C.P. Company are no slouch when it comes to innovative and eye-catching textile treatments for their outerwear, and since their inception in 1975 have been a go-to for anyone looking to flex the pinnacle of military-inspired sportswear design.

For Spring Summer ’18, the brand have outdone themselves with a wild new fabric that combines a bold and unique aesthetic with the expected technical features that made their name: the Air-Net. Using the classic multi-filament Chrome nylon as a base, the fabric is then printed on the interior face with a three-dimensional honeycomb flock pattern, which serves the dual purpose of adding structure to the fabric, as well as creating an air pocket effect within the garment itself, capturing warm air to provide insulation to the wearer when worn with layers underneath. This also has the interesting side effect of absorbing colour during the garment dyeing process, leaving the pattern visible on the jacket’s external facing for a striking look.

 

The jacket itself is designed with modern looks and functionality in mind, boasting toggle adjustment tunnels to the hem, an anatomically shaped hood with two-way adjustment and stacked side pockets concealed by two-way zips which allows for easy access to essential items while keeping the lines of the piece sleek and clean. A utility pocket to the left sleeve finishes the piece, as well as housing the Lens Viewer device, giving a nod back to the brand’s iconic Mille Miglia Goggle jacket.
