GH Bass

Founded and established in 1876 by George Henry Bass, GH Bass have been in the footwear business for over a century. The brand have created a range of silhouettes that have become classic shoes in the shoe cupboard of many generations, using high quality materials to ensure durability and comfort as well as timeless style.

Described as the ‘look that never wears’, the brand have created iconic styles such as the Bass Weejuns, which were first made in 1936 and grew vastly popular with subculture and popular culture in the 1960s. G.H. Bass & Co provided official boots for the U.S Army, as well as creating footwear for the American Olympic Ski team in 1948. Still popular today, G.H. Bass & Co footwear is still so reliable and has earned iconic status through the years.

Here at Aphrodite we are now proud stockists of G.H. Bass & Co, including the Camp Moc Ranger and Bass Weejuns with a retro tassle detail. The Camp Moc Ranger is a pair of moccassin style hi tops crafted from flawless leather with a lace-up fastening and durable rubber sole. Similarly, the Camp Moc Jackman shoe offers the same leather construction with authentic lace-up fastening and antique style eyelets. Bass Weejuns are a more formal style, which we have available in both black and wine red colour-ways. Crafted from shining leather with a slip on fastening and matching leather sole. The Weejuns also have a quirky style tassle at the front and heel-to-heel welt stitch
