Forming the focal point of New Balance’s, ‘Protection Pack’ the runners come presented in a paired back ‘sea salt’ colourway whilst a number of subtle details give a deconstructed and never-before-seen aesthetic. Boasting an array of roughly cut, layered suede above a breathable mesh base, unfinished edges keep things rugged whilst perforated accents wrap around the heel for even more textural depth. Given an exposed foam tongue to further enhance its broken-down appearance, primary hits of red and blue add a stark contrast to its minimal base.
Below the New Balance 2002R utilises some of the brand’s most tried and tested tooling. Made from a foam cushioning blend, an ABZORB mid-sole boasts the ability to compress with every step, transferring momentum and harnessing it to propel the wearer onward. Complimented with an N-ergy outsole, the thermoplastic material provides the perfect amount of shock absorption when traversing a multitude of terrains.
