Originally designed by fragment design’s Hiroshi Fujiwara with the aim of marrying the clean upper design of Nike’s heritage LD-1000 running shoe with the latest Air Max sole unit, the LD-Zero takes these two disparate elements and merges them into a sleek, unique and very wearable sneaker. Featuring a mesh upper with synthetic overlays, Flywire cables to the lace-stays for superior foot lock-down, an outsole tread inspired by the classic Nike waffle pattern and, most noticeably, that full-length Visible Max Air sole unit in a matching translucent shade of blue, the LD-Zero is at once futuristic and familiar, a perfect step-up from styles like the Nike Roshe series.
