Nike Continues to Bring the Heat with Two Bold New Air Max 98s
With summer just about on the horizon, it’s time for sneakerheads to start thinking ahead to maximising their rotation’s curb appeal; after all, what better reason to flex in your best kicks than to turn heads? Nike’s Air Max 98 with its seismic, maximalist design is already a neck-snapper in its own right, but the Swoosh are about to unleash a pair of colourways that take things to a new level.
First up we have the Kinetic Green, AKA ‘South Beach’ colourway. Inspired by the sun-drenched boulevards of Miami, the Air Max 98 here daubs over its subdued platinum and obsidian base with bold teal and coral accents for a look that just screams ‘summer’.
The second colourway takes a similar approach, retouching its base with eyecatching Racer Blue and Volt, evoking retro sportswear in the boldest possible way without veering into ‘obnoxious’ territory.
Colouring aside, the story remains the same for the Air Max 98, boasting layered nylon uppers with embroidered detailing, a synthetic leather mudguard and a unique lacing system, all set atop a chunky midsole with full-length visible Max Air for an overall uncompromising signature look.
Both pairs will be available online from 08.00 BST on the 10th of May, with an in-store release later that day. Previous colourways of the Air Max 98 have been in high demand and we expect the same of these two bangers, so don’t sleep if you don’t want to regret missing out.
