Saucony Grid SD Games Pack

Saucony are turning the clock back with the release of the new 90’s inspired Grid SD game pack. Inspired by the 16 bit graphics systems that was around during the late 80’s early 90’s, the pack plays homage to the legendary video game and footwear breakthroughs of the era with their tech inspired designs and colour combinations.

At the same time as the game industry was in the midst of a boom, the footwear scene especially the running shoe was going through a design revolution of their own. Trying to push the boundaries of design and manufacture, stability and energy return was the talk of the town and at the forefront of the designers minds. Saucony introduced the brands GRID midsole cushioning system (Ground Reaction Inertia Device), which help absorb shock and provide stability while giving the trainer added aesthetic appeal. Over the years the GRID SD has become a favourite in the running community and is becoming increasing popular with the contemporary sneaker obsessed modern lifestyle.

2015 sees the return of the GRID SD silhouette, this time taken from the Games Pack. With a few alterations from the original outline these are a set to be a hit with the retro gamers and sneaker enthusiasts alike. Crafted from a buttery suede with leather and synthetic mesh details for extra breath-ability, these are a super comfortable trainer. Sitting upon a shadow 5000 sole incorporating the GRID technology with an outer triangular lug system and finished with reflective details to the heel, giving a little nod to the history of the shoe. Coming in dynamic computer colours, reminiscent of the 80-90’s gaming graphics, these are sure to bring back gaming memories.

Aphrodite have secured two colourways from this pack, Black/Grey and Teal/Black. Both priced at £105, these will be available to pre-order from Monday 20^th April with expected delivery for the weeks commencing 20^th April.
