Ever since its first release half a decade ago, the Ozweego sneaker from adidas & Raf Simons has been dividing opinions with its blown-out proportions and striking colour selections. Even as footwear has trended towards the chunkier end of the spectrum, the Ozweego has been a real ‘Marmite’ shoe. To mark the release of the patriotic ‘USA Edition’ of the deconstructed Replicant Ozweego, we asked the sneaker experts at The Sole Supplier for their opinions on the controversial kicks. Here’s what they had to say:

Chris: The ultimate shoe for the Summer, it literally has holes cut out of it for ultimate ventilation. Couple this with a poppy colour palette and chunky silhouette and you have a serious sneaker on your hands.

With the addition of 3 pairs of socks, this sneaker is ticking all the right boxes in my opinion.

Dan: The Raf Simons Ozweego Replicant is the David Bowie of dad shoes. Eye catching, futuristic and 100% on trend. To top it all off you never worry about your sock game again. Sublime.

George: Definitely a pair that are going to look banging for the Summer. The holes in the sidewall will make these super breathable, especially for those with sweaty feet. The colour scheme is popping, particularly if you like strawberries.

 Josh: Instant cop… Simple as that.
