The Three Stripes invite you to embrace their day-to-night mentality this season with the impending release of the latest adidas Nite Jogger. Set to take the sneaker circuit by storm, this retro road runner is due for release 6th of July and will arrive here at Aphrodite as a collaborative offering with the reflective experts at 3M.

Penned back in the ‘80s as the shoe ‘to be seen in’, the flashy silhouette was quite literally Nite Jogger by name, Nite Jogger by nature. Its construction guaranteed to deliver a theatrical display on the tarmac after dark, even before 3M detailing crept its way into the trainer scene. Of course in previous years, adidas, and sportswear brands across the board, were expected to think outside of the box in order to light up the ground. These days though, fierce fabrics, technological advancements and industry crossovers make it easier than ever to stay firmly on the radar…

Enter the adidas Nite Jogger 2019:

Ready to bring its ‘A’ game into the 21st century, the very much new and improved adidas Nite Jogger is truly geared up to glow. Embodying safety, shine and immeasurable substance – the trainer, which comes in crystal white and navy renditions, is a bulbous remake of the original. Across the design’s upper, nylon and mesh drape the silhouette with a feel for flexibility and function, while tonal suede overlays present plush detail to the overall performance formula.

Both colourways boast an exaggerated BOOST™ midsole which not only tunes into the chunky sneaker zeitgeist of today, but also ensures a superlative energy return on the ground. As a result, wearers can expect to overcome a wealth of terrain with this revived runner by their side.

On the whole, the trainer’s definitive focal point is its hi-vis material. Conceived to travel safely at night and, ultimately, avoid danger on the roads, reflective 3M Scotchlite eagerly claims its spot across several areas of the shoe. To begin, the iconic Three Stripes hallmark is replaced with a striking 3M stamp imagined to the jogger’s sidewall. Next, a branded 3M tab locks down the lacing system with an eye for detail and structure. And finally, further head-turning illuminations seek out the heel, ankle and forefront of the Nite Jogger, making it simply impossible for the shoe to slip off the grid.

Though the adidas Nite Jogger is made with the late-night sprinter in mind, non-nocturnal joggers are more than welcome to enjoy the supreme build of the design and its showy stance. Attention all goggle hood fanatics we’ve just found ourselves in the possession of a fresh batch of CP Company garments. Maison Margiela Deliver 70s Vibes with A Luxury Tracksuit

It only takes half an eye on the fashion world to determine that sportswear is massive right now, with sweatshirts, track pants and sneakers dominating both the streets and the runways. Having demonstrated their own spin on sportswear with the recent Knit Sock Boot, Maison Margiela are back once more with this deconstructed take on the classic tracksuit. Boasting strong 70s vibes in mix of neutral colours, the top and bottoms both feature luxe black silk detailing to elevate them above the norm. What really takes things to the next level, though, is the ‘inside out’ reverse seam construction found on the jacket; a quintessentially Margiela detail that fully encapsulates the brand’s attention to detail.

While the duo are clearly intended to be worn as a set, each would work equally well as part of other outfits. The silk side-stripe on the trousers would bring some subtle flash to any everyday outfit, while the jacket is ideal for layering with your favourite off-duty or tailored pieces.
