Fortunately, whether rain, snow or shine, we’re here to get you kitted out for the season with a well-curated selection of jackets and coats to last you through this winter and well beyond.

North Face Nuptse 1992 Jacket

THE NORTH FACE NUPTSE 1992 JACKET

A truly iconic piece from The North Face’s archives, the Nupste 1992 jacket takes inspiration from the original, while upgrading the fabrics and fit to more modern standards. Crafted from a lightweight nylon shell with a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish fashioned into classic large baffles, and generously filled with cosy goose down to combat the cold in style. Various zip pockets keep your essentials safe and secure, while the whole look is finished with the iconic retro Dome logo patch to the left sleeve.

NAPAPIJRI SKIDOO 1 JACKET

Pullover jackets are having a moment right now, and for good reason: they’re perfect for layering for that retro outdoor sportswear look, as well as being designed to keep your core warmer than front-fastening styles. Napapijri’s Skidoo jacket lays claim to be the first ever jacket designed in this way, and is a staple of the brand’s outerwear range. The shell is water-repellent while the body is both lined with fleece and padded with Thermore filling for the ultimate in winter-proof apparel.

PATAGONIA FITZ ROY DOWN PARKA

Designed for serious outdoor use, yet with off-duty good looks, the Fitz Roy parka utilises Pertex Quantum fabrics throughout, which are lightweight, durable and water resistant, as well as letting the 800-fill goose down filling loft properly to maximise its warmth retention. So whether you’re scaling peaks on a weekend or schlepping between home and the pub on a night, this is one jacket that will never let you down in either the style or performance departments.

Best Seller: Why You Love the Napapijri Rainforest Jacket

Napapijri Rainforest Jacket

Napapijri has been a world-renowned outerwear designer since 1990 when the first Skidoo jacket was introduced. The brand holds Nordic exploration and adventure at the core of its success, with the word Napapijri being a variation of the Finnish word for ‘Arctic Circle’ and the half positive, half negative logo representing the North and South poles. The Norwegian flag is also used as a representation of this, due to Norway being Europe’s northern-most country and also the birthplace of many 20th Century explorers.

At Aphrodite, we are proud to stock a number of Napapijri’s iconic pieces, and season after season they continue to be one of our best-selling brands.

One sure fire winner from the brand is the Napapijri Rainforest Jacket. This classic windbreaker is constructed with innovative technical fabrics to ensure it has a fit comparable to no other. Instantly recognisable by the branded kangaroo pocket, the Rainforest Jacket is available in several styles and colourways to suit the unpredictable British weather.

6 Must Have Lightweight Jackets

We have gathered together 6 of our favourite lightweight jackets that we think are absolute must haves for your Spring/Summer 17 wardrobe.

This performance pullover is a lightweight and simple jacket created in a 2.5 layer 100% recycled nylon which has a waterproof/breathable barrier and DWR (durable water repellent) finish. Crafted in a regular fit, it packs into the front torso pocket. The center front zip reaches half way down the jacket to where the jacket changes to red, it is concealed with a minimal-welt exterior and interior storm flap. Other key features are the elasticized cuffs, microfleece-lined neck, draw-cord hem, adjustable roll-down hood and finished off with a Patagonia logo badge on the chest.

A bold statement piece from CP Company this season, the Watch Viewer Jacket returns in a crisp white colourway. The key elements to this jacket are its ‘T-Mack 3 Layer Waterproof Construction’, a poppered stormflap over the branded zip frontal fastening, adjustable cuff fastening, roll away hood for those rare days without a down pour, and various pockets to the front of the jacket and the lining.

The Membrana 3L TC fabric from Stone Island is a 3 layer light performance fabric. It is crafted by using an opaque nylon outer face bonded to a breathable water resistant membrane which is protected by an imperceptible polyester base. The unique colouration is derived from the garment dyeing procedure that the fabric undergoes. A fixed hood protects you in the harsher weather whilst contrasting zippers adorn the front and 2x zip pockets. The removable Stone Island compass patch badge to the arm finishes off this fantastic piece.

A versatile outer layer, this pullover anorak is super lightweight and packable to help keep you prepared for the unpredictable weather. Adjustable hood and hem for the perfect fit, with a handy front pocket to store your essentials. Finished with classic Napapijri details in a tonal print.

There was no better surrounding to develop Napapijri. The Aosta valley, despite being strikingly beautiful, is a bleak, dangerous environment, dominated by the snow covered shadow of one of Europe’s tallest mountains, Mount Blanc. It became the perfect inspiration for Green Sport Monte Bianco to study how Napapijri should perform, as well as grow as a brand.

Napapijri has always stood for freedom, and the opportunity to be able to go anywhere and do everything. Travel and having the chance to experience life to the fullest were, and still are the core values of the brand, as it remains ever respectful to the environment, the planet, and everybody who lives on it. Napapijri Jacket

Starting out with a simple vision, Napapijri’s first adventure was into back packs and luggage. Technologically innovative, in both the way they were constructed and the materials they used, Napapijri bags were versatile pieces that catered for and quickly became the favourite of the demanding traveler who needed a piece of luggage that would match their exacting standards.  Their bags were utilitarian, and the perfect reflection of the harsh environments that they were designed to thrive in. To carry a Napapijri bag was a statement that you were ready for any eventuality, in any place. Riding the huge success of their early advancements with varied rugged materials and completely functional design, Napapijri began to experiment once again. They applied their profound knowledge of textiles and colours to craft an entire collection of apparel, including ready to wear items ranging from heavy duty winter jackets to thick knits that would take the sting out of the coldest of weather. Again, the success of their new venture was huge. Bearing the Napapijri name and flag as their banner, the clothing line soon became synonymous with a quality product that would stand fast in any situation, as the labels deeply conceptual look immortally framed functionality with style and comfort.
