First Look at the adidas Originals ZX Flux Racer Asym Primeknit

adidas Originals have reinvented the ZX Flux with the release of the ZX Flux Racer Asym in recent weeks which gained a lot of exposure on sneaker blogs. The three-stripe brand go one step further by giving the model a primeknit upper for its release in January 2016.

A dual layer knitted upper offers a black perforated knitted upper with pink underlying layer which gives it a vibrant appearance. Sitting upon a contrasting, comfortable running inspired midsole, the shoe gets some additional support from the transparent heel cage that runs around the rear. A heel pull with reflective detailing adorns the back whilst an asymetrical lace up system features to the front of the shoe.

adidas Originals Country OG Release

This 1970’s classic cross-country running shoe returns for Autumn Winter 2015 in the form of these two vibrant styles that will be available to pre-order from 1 June. The Country OG is sure to appeal to today’s adidas terrace shoe collectors and retro trainer aficionado’s.

On this lightweight model, the upper has been crafted from a deconstructed nylon base, whilst it has been accented by nubuck panels to the toe, heel and eyelet bar. The shoe sits upon a die-cut EVA midsole and gum outsole which adds to the retro feel. The obligatory leather 3-stripes contrast perfectly to the side panel and the colour accents the heel tab.

adidas Originals Gazelle Indoor Pre-Order

The iconic silhouette of the adidas Originals Gazelle Indoor returns for Autumn Winter 2015 in this sublime bluebird / white colourway. You have to go all the way back to 1968 to see the Gazelle Indoor making its debut but nearly 50 years on, the shoe is more popular than ever. Now a firm favourite on the terraces, footwear enthusiasts are eager to get their hands on the new season colourways from each collection.

This new season interpretation offers a full suede upper with a suede tongue that is accented with perforations throughout. The gold Gazelle callout adorns the side panel and is complimented by the gold adidas branding to the tongue tab.

Contrasting synthetic 3-stripes work well against the blue upper as does the plain heel tab at the reverse of the shoe. Sitting upon the much loved gum sole unit that gives the shoe its retro feel, the shoe is a must-have for Gazelle lovers.

Saucony are turning the clock back with the release of the new 90’s inspired Grid SD game pack. Inspired by the 16 bit graphics systems that was around during the late 80’s early 90’s, the pack plays homage to the legendary video game and footwear breakthroughs of the era with their tech inspired designs and colour combinations.

At the same time as the game industry was in the midst of a boom, the footwear scene especially the running shoe was going through a design revolution of their own. Trying to push the boundaries of design and manufacture, stability and energy return was the talk of the town and at the forefront of the designers minds. Saucony introduced the brands GRID midsole cushioning system (Ground Reaction Inertia Device), which help absorb shock and provide stability while giving the trainer added aesthetic appeal. Over the years the GRID SD has become a favourite in the running community and is becoming increasing popular with the contemporary sneaker obsessed modern lifestyle.

2015 sees the return of the GRID SD silhouette, this time taken from the Games Pack. With a few alterations from the original outline these are a set to be a hit with the retro gamers and sneaker enthusiasts alike. Crafted from a buttery suede with leather and synthetic mesh details for extra breath-ability, these are a super comfortable trainer. Sitting upon a shadow 5000 sole incorporating the GRID technology with an outer triangular lug system and finished with reflective details to the heel, giving a little nod to the history of the shoe. Coming in dynamic computer colours, reminiscent of the 80-90’s gaming graphics, these are sure to bring back gaming memories.

adidas Hamburg Spring Summer 2015 Release

adidas Originals Hamburg Trainers The adidas Hamburg is somewhat of a legendary silhouette in footwear circles. First released in the 1980’s as part of the global ‘City Series’, the shoe has gone from strength to strength over the past few decades. Hype instantly follows this shoe around, adidas do not need to generate any for it.

This re-release of this classic shoe sees the release of 2 colourways. Both feature a full pigskin suede upper with a leather tongue and complimentary contrasting leather three-stripes. A gold Hamburg callout is applied to the side panel whilst the whole shoe sits on a translucent rubber gum sole.

Priced at £70.00, the adidas Originals Hamburg is available to pre-order from 1 February 2015 for delivery expected in March 2015.

The phenomenal success of the first wave of the adidas Originals Tubular Runner exceeded all expectations. The cutting-edge design based upon the forward thinking Y-3 Qasa received a fantastic reaction amongst fans of the brand and sneakers in general.

Riding that wave of popularity, adidas Originals are introducing a number of new Tubular Runners including this Moc Runner that is available to pre-order from 1 February 2015 in very limited numbers.

Again taking inspiration from the Y-3 Qasa, the Moc Runner also gives a nod to the traditional moccasin style as well as Japanese street culture. Featuring a moc-stitched upper of suede and neoprene, adidas have incorporated cut-out 3-stripes, all sitting upon a compression moulded EVA outsole. adidas Gazelle OG Pre-Order Available

adidas Gazelle OG A legend in its own right, the adidas Gazelle has been reworked many times over since its inception in 1966, returning to the shelves in many different guises. A versatile shoe, found everywhere from football stadiums around the world to skate parks and concerts, the Gazelle has firmly stamped its position near the head of the mens footwear market.

The 2015 Spring Summer collection sees the return of the terrace favourite in a unique grey colourway with perforation holes revealing a hidden green layer underneath. The synthetic suede upper and quarter is contrasted by the cold cement rubber outsole and three-stripes adorning the side panel.

adidas Spezial Spring Summer 2015 Pre-Order

A firm favourite on the terrace scene, the adidas Originals Spezial is always a sought after style of trainers season upon season. First released back in 1979, the Spezial was created initially as an indoor handball shoe. It has since developed a huge following with fans of the adidas Originals brand and has been re-issued in various different guises.

Returning this forthcoming Spring Summer season, we are taking delivery of two new styles. Both feature full suede uppers as standard with synthetic 3-stripes. The olive coloured Spezial boasts a contrasting white rubber sole and has been created in a new seasonal colourway. Alternatively if you prefer something a little more vibrant, there is the purple / yellow colourway which features the iconic translucent gum outsole.

adidas Originals Hamburgs return for Spring/Summer 2015

Here at Aphrodite we’re proud to announce that we are awaiting the forthcoming arrival of adidas Originals Hamburg trainers in two colourways; Core Black / Collegiate Orange and Collegiate Gold / Core Black. This combination of colours is sure to turn heads and dominate the streets when they start shipping for the Spring / Summer season.

The silhouette of the Hamburg was originally released in the 80’s, and became an adored part of the Terrace movement. From then the Hamburg style has been known as a classic piece of mens’ footwear which is making an anticipated return for adidas lovers.
