Summer is fast approaching and it’s no doubt everyone is waiting patiently for a glimpse of anticipated sun. It’s the time of year where we hang up our winter jackets and start to put some colour into our wardrobes, along with other summery delights. With this there’s no surprise that Saucony’s latest release has been heavily inspired by summer and classic ice-cream flavours. 

The silhouette of this tasty piece of footwear is based on the classic G9 Shadow 6 design, with the sole unit of the Grid 9000 and uppers from the Shadow 5000 and 6000. The G9 Shadow 6 silhouette is one of the most celebrated heritage silhouettes from Saucony, originally debuted in 2012 by a boutique called Bodega in Boston. Flaunting a buttery suede upper with mint and dark chocolate chip colours that give the trainer that ultimate summer feel. The midsole unit is carefully detailed with dark chocolate colour speckles and then wrapped up with a gum rubber outsole for more grip. Other specific features of the trainer include a soft sock liner for comfort, and additional laces to tailor the shoe differently.
