Y3 do ‘all-black everything’ better than most, and they’ve finally brought their dark and moody aesthetic to their Kozoko High sneakers as part of their Autumn/Winter 2017 collection.

Like many of their recent styles, the Kozoko High boasts an eclectic and highly textural mix of materials to the uppers, with tough ballistic nylon, smooth nubuck and premium grain leather all featuring, while welded overlays provide additional structure and support in key areas. The collar and tongue design is unique, wrapping around the ankle for support while staying flexible with an elasticated, gusseted tongue.

Of course the main event for any sneakerhead is the full length Boost sole unit, which also comes fully blacked out to maintain the overall dark look, while still providing its supreme comfort levels and energy response. Branding is kept low-key with tonal prints to the heel and toe, while the famous 3 Stripes motif only appears to the inside collar for a subtle finish. Overall these would complement any outfit with a modern, forward-thinking sportswear aesthetic – especially if ‘all-black everything’ is your thing.
