Saucony Sneakers Arrive
Always on the lookout for the next big designer label to buy into, the experienced buyers at Aphrodite have decided to add Saucony to our ever expanding roster of brands. The brand has been around for a lifetime, originally forming in Kutztown, Pennsylvania in 1898. The brand has changed ownership a couple of times since then but the steadfast determination to produce the perfect pair of running shoes remains.
Saucony use the constant flow of the Saucony Creek river where it was originally formed as inspiration for their footwear. As a brand they primarily create shoes for runners taking feedback from previous styles and engineering new footwear that keep the brand competitive in a strong market.
Famed for their slightly retro silhouettes, we currently have two styles of Saucony trainers in stock, in a variety of colourways. The Saucony Shadow Original come in blue and black versions available. The Saucony Grid 9000 (pictured at top of article) trainers are the other style available with 3 different colour schemes on offer. Around for over a decade now, the Grid 9000 utilises the Saucony Grid Cushioning System that uses woven Hytrel filaments in a grid configuration, centering on the heel area for impact. The resulting cushioning that the Grid 9000 offers is one of the key selling points for the shoe.
Both sets of Saucony trainers are available online now with the Grid 9000’s priced at £75 and the Shadow Original’s at £70.
