adidas Stadt Trainer: Introducing A Terrace Newcomer

The Three Stripes Expands Its Terrace Lineup

It’s no secret that The Three Stripes has the Midas touch when it comes to footwear in the football arena; which is why it should come as no surprise that the German sportswear brand is set to introduce another terrace newcomer to its lineup, dubbed the adidas Stadt trainer – named after the German word for ‘city’.

Bound for life around the pitch, the sneaker arrives this season in two contrasting colourways, the first, a ‘glowing green’ version, and the second, a more pared-back ‘real purple’. Though both pairs have seemingly ditched team colours in favour of individual treatments, they do however both stand with the same low-profile build. And the Stadt’s stature may look very familiar to you. Why? Well, the same silhouette has dipped in and out of the brand’s portfolio for some years now and is already a proven winner – with genuine staying power.

Joining the brand’s noteworthy subcultural favourites, including the Gazella, Samba and L.A. Trainer, the all-new Stadt trainer is imagined with a plush blanket of suede to its uppers and gold-foil adidas Stadt branding to the sidewall. The iconic Three Stripes sit in hot pink atop the mint colourway, while lime-green hits pop to the subtle base of the deep purple rendition.

Stationed with superb stability for urban dimensions, the sneaker is designed with a robust rubber outsole underfoot, ensuring your journey from the stadium to streets is as comfortable as possible this pending footy season.

If we were going to predict the future of the adidas Stadt trainer, we would go big. We’re pretty confident the design is set to become the game’s slickest new sneaker – a bona fide terrace touchpoint for the brand. Cop a pair when both colourways land on our doorstep on the revised launch date of 07/09/19.
