The Asics Gel-Lyte III is one of the shoe’s of the moment, being re-envisioned in a variety of different colourways. This versatile silhouette has been a firm favourite with sneakerheads around the globe for years and it’s unique split tongue design is one of the key design features.

For Spring Summer 2015, the popular shoe has been reworked by the newly named Asics Tiger group with a Japanese theme running through it in the form of the ‘Crane and Turtle‘ Pack. In Japanese culture, cranes and turtles symbolise long life and longevity and there is an old Japanese proverb ” Tsuru Sen-nen, Kame Man-nen”. This translates roughly as “Crane lives for 1,000 years; Turtle lives for 10,000 years”.

2x colourways have been released as part of this limited edition pack. Premium suede panels are overlaid upon one another and contrast beautifully against the Asics logo that adorns the side panel. Each model has the iconic padded split tongue design and the entire shoe sits upon the Gel infused midsole. A paint splatter effect has been applied to the midsole for some additional decoration along with the perforated toebox which also aides breathability. Each shoe has illustrations of crane feathers and turtle shell on the inside which collectors of sneakers will appreciate.
