Over the course of the coming days and weeks we expect the media to highlight a security issue regarding version 3 of SSL (Secure Sockets Layer). SSL provides encryption to protect your information from attackers and many companies use the technology.

A vulnerability has been found within the technology and PayPal have now discontinued support for SSL 3.0 from 12:01am on Wednesday December 3. 2014. As a result, we have taken the action to disable SSL 3.0 and no longer use the technology and have now upgraded to TLS (Transport Layer Service).
