Italian label Stone Island is known around the world for its use of innovative fabrics and techniques when creating their high quality pieces. Here at Aphrodite we are proud to stock a large range of Stone Island jackets, ranging from their classic coats and jackets to their more urban Stone Island Shadow Projects label.

Stone Island are particularly effective when it comes to designing coats and jackets, due to the range of fabrics they have developed to optimise the features of their pieces. Carlo Rivetti, Creative Director for the company claims that rather than being a fashion house, Stone Island is in fact “an on-going investigation on the ennobling and processing of fibres and textiles”. The Garment Dyed Micro Yarn Down Jacket is no exception to this theory, being both visually appealing and highly functional at the same time.

Constructed from military specification polyester nylon, the Micro Yarn fabric that makes up this jacket is tightly woven in order to ensure that the Stone Island jacket remains completely wind resistant. As well as being wind and water resistant, the fabric is incredibly soft to the touch and can be machine washed. The premium duck down fill is injected into specially designed feather pockets that allow the coat to maintain it’s lightweight quality while keeping you warm. The jacket is then dyed with a special anti-drop dye, giving it it’s water-resistant finish. Featuring a full zip fastening, zip down side entry pockets and drawstring hood. The jacket is given a designer touch with the signature Stone Island button badge to the arm.
