Y-3 Qasa High Returns For AW2015

Yohji Yamamoto and adidas set the sneaker world alight with the first release of the Y-3 Qasa High back in late 2013. Its innovative design coupled with the Y-3 branding saw it catapulted into the spotlight as the ‘must-have’ sneaker of the moment. Demand has not showed any signs of slowing for the Qasa High and the latest release is set to hit the shelves on 25 July 2015.

Incorporating a soft and lightweight neoprene upper, the Qasa High goes one step further by wrapping tonal elastic wraps in various angles to give the upper its unique appearance. Premium leather panels accent the neoprene upper and offset the RPU lacing system. The comfortable tubular EVA sole unit is designed to allow for even weight distribution and comfort and the recent success of the adidas Originals Tubular Runner which adopts the same design is testament to how effective it is.

Its design has influenced various styles of sneakers that have been released since and will always bee seen as a forward thinking shoe of its time.

This new interpretation sees the familiar neoprene upper with the tonal elasticated wraps accenting the upper. The colourway is what sets this new release apart from its predecessors as it adopts a highly contrasting red / black / white palette. The usual tubular sole it still in operation which offers unbelievable comfort.

Y3 Sprint Classic II Trainers

For years the Y3 Sprint Classic has been the footwear of choice for consumers looking for something that will bridge the gap between the comfort of sportswear and high-end luxury fashion. The brand themselves refer to the shoe as a luxury urban sneaker, showcasing some of the main features of a sneaker but boasting some luxurious features. Hailing from the Y-3 collaborative brand between sportswear giant adidas Originals and Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto, the Sprint Classic was an instant success, often seen on a number of celebrities in magazines and on television.

After so much success with the original Sprint Classic, Y-3 introduced the rather unimaginatively titled Y-3 Sprint Classic II; Hey, if something isn’t broke, why try and fix it? Taking on the same silhouette as its predecessor, the second incarnation of the luxury trainers sees it take on a unique perforated leather upper. Still harbouring many of the same features as the original, this newer version opts for a more monochrome colourway with only subtle hints of the original orange colour that adorned much of the first shoe.

The usual TPU welded three-stripe design borrowed from adidas is still utilised and incorporates the Yohji Yamamoto branding. Embroidered Y-3 branding is found on the padded tongue whilst the brands name is also concealed under the leather heel tab which lifts up. A part-leather lined inner enhances the quality of the shoe along with the smooth leather panels running along the front of the toe box and side panel.

A seasonal favourite from one of the giants in designer casualwear, the Y3 Boxing trainers return in yet another guise for Autumn Winter 2014. Arriving in our first shipment of Y3 for the coming season, this new incarnation of the popular silhouette ticks all of the right boxes for anybody wanting a new piece of Y-3. Merging fabric and leather uppers to great effect, the Boxing trainers use a muted pallette of colour which is offset by the luxurious brown leather heel panel and tongue.

Boasting the Yohji Yamamoto logo to one of the three-stripes borrowed from Adidas, the Boxing features Y-3 branding to the heel, tongue and outsole. A light dapple effect has been applied to the black leather toe panel and ankle cuff giving a subtle touch of detail.
