Saucony Grid SD Games Pack

Saucony are turning the clock back with the release of the new 90’s inspired Grid SD game pack. Inspired by the 16 bit graphics systems that was around during the late 80’s early 90’s, the pack plays homage to the legendary video game and footwear breakthroughs of the era with their tech inspired designs and colour combinations.

At the same time as the game industry was in the midst of a boom, the footwear scene especially the running shoe was going through a design revolution of their own. Trying to push the boundaries of design and manufacture, stability and energy return was the talk of the town and at the forefront of the designers minds. Saucony introduced the brands GRID midsole cushioning system (Ground Reaction Inertia Device), which help absorb shock and provide stability while giving the trainer added aesthetic appeal. Over the years the GRID SD has become a favourite in the running community and is becoming increasing popular with the contemporary sneaker obsessed modern lifestyle.

2015 sees the return of the GRID SD silhouette, this time taken from the Games Pack. With a few alterations from the original outline these are a set to be a hit with the retro gamers and sneaker enthusiasts alike. Crafted from a buttery suede with leather and synthetic mesh details for extra breath-ability, these are a super comfortable trainer. Sitting upon a shadow 5000 sole incorporating the GRID technology with an outer triangular lug system and finished with reflective details to the heel, giving a little nod to the history of the shoe. Coming in dynamic computer colours, reminiscent of the 80-90’s gaming graphics, these are sure to bring back gaming memories.

Aphrodite have secured two colourways from this pack, Black/Grey and Teal/Black. Both priced at £105, these will be available to pre-order from Monday 20^th April with expected delivery for the weeks commencing 20^th April.

Digging deep into their sporting archives Saucony have retrieved the iconic Courageous silhouette from the mid 80s and modernized the running classic as a streetwear sneaker. This spring the designers at Saucony have kicked the once ground-breaking original technology and materials into the 21st century. The reliable runner still has features the ‘marshmallowy’ EVA midsole that offers plush underfoot cushioning, because who wants to sacrifice comfort for style?

Too late in the week for your brain to remember what the originals were crafted out of? The shoes upper is formed with quality buttery suede, with a perforated mid foot and toe box for added breathability, ideal for the summer months. Still looking for more luxury in your footwear? The padded collar and tongue should satisfy that need. The Saucony branding appears on the tongue and heel unit, which should finish your statement footwear nicely.

Be Seen After Nightfall With These ‘Neon Lights’ Sneakers From Saucony

After the incredible reaction to the release of the Saucony ‘High Roller’ collaboration with Feature, Saucony’s next release is the ‘Neon Lights’ pack. Another rework of the classic G9 silhouette, these are set to be just as popular as the previous launch with sneaker enthusiasts.

Taking inspiration from liquor stores and nightclub neon lights, the design mixes two colours for an eye-catching fashion trainer perfect to pound the pavements with all day. Crafted from rich suede uppers with additional leather protection to the toe box, toe box perforations, plastic lace locks for extra support, finished with an embroidered Saucony logo to the heel. On a technological note, these trainers sit ontop of a GRID sole support unit, helping enhance the comfort and assistance to the wearer, but also giving the brand and its followers a nod back to their sportswear performance history. Finished off with tonal 3M reflective pieces to the logo to the side panels and the heel, these are a must have trainer this season.

Aphrodite are stocking two colours from this collection, Black/Grey and Blue. Both of these are £105 and will be available from Sunday 15^th February 2015.

Saucony x LV Feature G9 Control ‘Barney’ Release

Last month, Saucony teamed up with Las Vegas based retailer Feature for the Shadow 6 ‘High Roller’ pack released in limited numbers. The duo are back with another impending release on Saturday 7 February 2015. This time they have used the Shadow 6 silhouette and used the $500 ‘Barney’ casino chip as inspiration. Utilising premium suede overlays, different hues of purple and pink adorn the entire shoe whilst the ‘Barney’ chip makes an appearance to the padded tongue and inner-sole of the shoe.

The 3M tri-colour Saucony dot logo adorns the side panel whilst different hints of purple are found on the speckled midsole which accent the speckled laces. A gum outsole finishes off the base of the shoe which works well with the overall aesthetic.

The online release of the Saucony x Feature LV G9 Control ‘Barney’ will be on Saturday 7 February 2015. Any stock that does not sell will be released into our store at 9am on Saturday morning.

Saucony Originals Shadow 5000 'Fresh Picked'

Saucony Originals regularly revitalise their classic styles and have once again done so with the recently announced ‘Fresh Picked’ pack. Two colourways are being released as part of the pack which is inspired by the colours of nature’s berry patches. We will be stocking one of the two styles which is a rich purple colourway.

First released in 1989, this retro runner boasts a mesh toebox with suede overlays and nylon panels. Contrasting Saucony branding is accented by the heel tab of the same colour. A fabric tongue tab and embroidered Saucony branding to the heel complete this gorgeous shoe.

The eagerly anticipated release of the much hyped Saucony Shadow 6000 ‘Running Man’ pack is almost upon us. Launching on 15 September 2014, this 4 style pack is bursting with style and technology as you would expect from a brand with as much history in crafting running shoes as Saucony has.

Harbouring the Iconic Cushioning System, the Shadow 6000 is built for comfort, absorbing each strike of the heel with superior cushioning. Sitting upon a CMEVA and PU midsole, the shoe features an XT600 rubber outsole for improved grip.
