Nike Air Span II 'Desert Camo'

It’s Just Deserts With the Brand New Air Span II

The arrival of the Nike Air Span II this year has seen an interesting mix of colourways arrive on the model to widespread attention. Mostly resigned to monochromatic or colour blocked colourways such as the recent Patta collaboration, we’re being treat to the first print design of the heralded silhouette in the form of this Desert Camo edition of the runner. Here’s what we said about the initial release earlier this year:

Today’s edition really nails the shape and overall aesthetic of the original, while switching up the tooling for all-day comfort with plenty of cushioning… It’s great to see Nike bringing back some of their more sought-out running styles for those looking for a break from the norm. Don’t wait around if you want to add this obscure classic to your collection.

As has now become standard for the reissue the model includes a full phylon sole unit just like it’s OG release (the first of to harness the sole unit). Plush padding to the collar and footbed as well as premium upper materials offer an ultra-soft feeling whilst staying true to the original design. There are durable overlays to the eye stays and heel as well as a traction pattern to the sole implements superb lateral support to the shoe showing its running pedigree.

Offering OG sensibilities without an Air Max sole unit, the Air Span is amongst a rare group of runners that can rival Nike’s flagship line with comparable looks and performance. In the form of this desert camo edition, the spotlight is firmly on the retro running line’s 2018 stalwart with this bold take on a classic.

Releasing on September 6th at 8 AM is the Nike Air Span II ‘Desert Camo’ at Aphrodite1994
