New Balance 9060 Size Guide – How Do They Fit?

New Balance have quickly solidified themselves as the go-to trainer brand this year. With numerous hyped collabs and colourways selling out almost immediately, the Boston-based brand have proven that they’re a force to be reckoned with in the footwear industry. Dropping a number of hyped models that fly off the shelves, New Balance have seen a massive haul of success in the form of 550’s, 2002R’s and 990’s. But, for Summer 2022, the brand turned its attention toward the long-awaited New Balance 9060 silhouette, which has been a hit ever since.

New Balance 9060 Trainers in Brown

The New Balance 9060 silhouette was successfully released in collaboration with Joe FreshGoods in the summer of 2022 and its general release has been one we’ve been keeping our eye out for. Taking inspiration from both the brand’s 99x series and 860v2 trainers, the model offers a mashup that can only be described as a ‘modern dad trainer’. On the upper of the shoe, breathable mesh panels are encapsulated by suede and leather overlays. The external side of the shoe sees 3M reflective ‘N’ New Balance branding whereas the internal side sees the reflective branding be replaced with dotted embroidery in the shape of an ‘N’. In typical New Balance fashion, comfort is key and that’s exactly why the brand opts for an ABZORB midsole to reduce impact and create an easy-wearing, everyday shoe. The chunky outsole also provides further comfort whilst adding to the unique aesthetic.

The first features a more subdued palette, donning a tasteful combination of burgundy and navy appliques, while the second pair sport more vibrant iterations of marine and sapphire blues, depicting a scene reminiscent of varying depths of the ocean.

New Balance 550 Trainers

New Balance 550s have been commanding attention on the court since 1989, and have experienced a recent revival within the fashion-sphere thanks to the attentive eye of Aimé Leon Dore creative Teddy Santis in 2020 after having spotted them in an old team photo.

The growing popularity of the pair can be further attributed to the resurgence of the “dad trainer,” a trend spearheaded by celebrity endorsements from the likes of Jack Harlow, Emily Ratajkowski, and Justin Bieber. New Balance have become renowned for their quality and comfort, so with their trusted craftmanship coupled with today’s global trainer hype, we think it is fair to say that the 550s are here to stay.
