Ultra Boost Collective – Kris Van Assche

After the impressive reaction to the Dirk Schonberger x James Carnes Ultra Boost Collective trainers release earlier this month, we can proudly bring you the second installment of the mens styles, the third release in total from the entire boost collection. Designed by Kris Van Assche, a Belgian fashion designer, these trainers have been given the designers sartorial tailoring style, implementing the classically refined Argyle print.

Kris Van Assche recently announced that he would be ending his independent ‘KRISVANASSCHE’ label, concentrating all his effort into his role as creative director of Dior Homme, meaning this collaboration could end up being one of the last products to be released attached to the name Kris Van Assche. The combination of the trainers light, weightless modernity and the deep sense of bespoke history associated with the diamond pattern which can be seen to the prime knit upper gives a playful feel to the sneaker, bridging the gap between style and comfort.

“Finding the right balance between urban style and the spirit of sport is always challenging and has been a constant concern in my work. Hence my choice to counterbalance the very idea of performance that defines the Ultra Boost with the Argyle pattern, as a strong and established code of tailoring”. – Kris Van Assche

The trainer itself keeps the original Ultra Boost silhouette featuring a host of performance innovations including the full length Boost foam cushioned sole, giving the most enhanced energy return and comfort to date. The upper has been made from a prime knit material to give the trainer a ‘futuristic sock’ look with lightweight, breathable properties while boasting the Argyle pattern in red, navy and greay. A contrasting white midsole, red outsole and tonal navy overlays wrap the whole design up beautifully.

The Kris Van Assche Ultra Boost trainer will be available to buy from Thursday 25th June.
